A transformed, independent and people centered initiatives

Anita Foundation started in 2016 with the aim of improving areas such as Health, Education, and empowering youth, the Elderly, women, and Disabled groups of people.

Objectives

To achieve improved accountability, representation and sustainable development for Bukedea District
  • To develop and promote solidarity in Bukedea District
  • To mobilize and support women and men at all levels to participate in leadership and development.
  • To network and collaborate with local and international partners.
  • To monitor and evaluate the operations of Anita foundation activities
  • To document the impact of Anita Foundation for further reference.
  • To build and strengthen institutional capacity ,development and to ensure efficient and effective performance of all the programs

1. Education and Infrastructure:

Provided solar power to Primary Schools to improve education standards. Constructed classrooms in Kolir Comprehensive Secondary School. Set up a Secondary School with modern amenities. Scholarship provision at all levels: Secondary, University, and tertiary institutions.

2. Community Development:

Constructed Churches and Mosques to support religious infrastructure. Provided bicycles to LC1 and Church leaders for improved mobility. Set up a Radio Station (Mama Bukedea Fm Radio) for civic engagement, education, and sensitization on government programs. Disaster rescue operations in various locations like Kangole, Busano, Kamutur, etc.

3. Agricultural Support:

Provided tractors to communities for improved farming practices. Distributed pilot walking tractors to youth farmer groups in Kolir, Kachumbala, and Kidongole. Supplied seeds to farmers to enhance agricultural productivity. Supplied hand hoes and Ox-ploughs to support traditional farming methods.

4. Health and Welfare:

Donated two ambulances: One for Kachumbala and another for Bukedea Constituency. Repaired all broken down boreholes for improved water access. Supported burial groups to assist with funeral expenses. Youth empowerment through the provision of welding machines for skill development.
